The Stagger Bee, our first biplane, is here! Designer Andy Clancy says "I'm really excited about this one - it's by far the best plane I've ever developed. First of all, it's the easiest plane to fly that I have ever flown, but it can also be wildly maneuverable. It is amazingly versatile". The seldom used stagger wing configuration has the bottom wing forward of the top wing, and at a higher angle of attack. This ensures that the bottom wing always stalls first. When this happens, the sudden loss of lift drops the nose, which prevents the top wing from stalling. In other words, only the bottom wing stalls, and then you are still flying a lightly-loaded high wing airplane. The Stagger Bee includes unique streamlined shock mounted wheel skirts. These are rubber mounted and will withstand the worst landings. Taxiing this plane is like steering a slow R/C boat. Incredible durability is obtained with the new streamlined rubber band mounted wings, tail, motor, and wheel pants. All parts are pre-cut and they assemble quickly to produce an airframe that is light and maneuverable enough for indoor electric power and strong enough for gut-wrenching aerobatics with a hot .30 four -stroke. The Stagger Bee is a 3-channel plane, but an optional 4-channel upgrade kit featuring Andy's new "wingeron" aileron wing will be available in the near future. We are also working on developing floats for the Stagger Bee. The kit is quick building and very complete. All the wood is high quality and the parts are cut to shape and interlock wherever practical. We include clear Mylar iron-on covering (very user-friendly!) and most of the hardware needed to complete the plane. Standard Stagger Bee (Item
